Put Out Fires While They Are Still Small
Folks, I failed to publish a life lesson yesterday. We spent the afternoon fighting a brush fire near my home, and I was exhausted afterwards.
So today there will be two life lessons. This first one is derived from my firefighting experience yesterday:
To put out a fire is a metaphor for solving problems in life.
Confront your problems head on, and solve them as soon as possible, while they are still small.
If we had not immediately taken action to fight the brush fire yesterday, it could have gotten severely worse, and caused massive damage. By jumping into the firefight immediately, we saved significant amounts of destruction.
